Breast Thermograms at Holistic Breast Health are evaluated/interpreted using a Risk Assessment Scale of TH1 – TH5.
The initial thermograms of 144 women reflect the following percentages in each risk category by breast:
Right Breast | Left Breast | |
Lowest Risk TH1 | 2% | 2% |
Low Risk TH2 | 11% | 10% |
Medium/Average Risk TH3 | 65% | 54% |
High Risk TH4 | 15% | 24% |
Highest Risk TH5 | 6% | 9% |
Women can be in the Low Risk TH2 category or the Lowest Risk TH1 category when they make their breast health a priority (See Reducing Risk).
Follow-up thermograms provide the feedback women need to let them know that whatever they are doing proactively is working or is not working. When what they are doing is not working as quickly or as effectively as they would like, they can take additional proactive steps until they reach their goal – a Low/Lower Risk Assessment that should diminish their fear about getting breast disease. This is how Breast Thermography is truly about prevention.
